Abstract:
Dr. Jun Zhang will present an overview of the biomedical photonics imaging programs that he has been working on at the Beckman Laser Institute in the University of California, Irvine. The research works that he has been focusing on include the development of high speed high resolution Fourier domain optical coherence tomography (FDOCT); functional OCT of Doppler OCT and polarization sensitive OCT; development of high speed broadband wavelength swept source; development of miniature endoscopic probe based on MEMS scanning, distal micro-motor scanning, and proximal scanning techniques; high dynamic range phase sensitive spectral domain microscopy; development of long imaging range FDOCT; multimodal imaging techniques including OCT/fluorescence imaging, OCT/ultrasound imaging, OCT/elastography etc.

张军博士将在报告中介绍他在Irvine加州大学负责与参与的部分生物医学光子学成像项目。包括时域(TDOCT)与频域光相干断层扫描(FDOCT)系统的研发🖐🏿；功能性多普勒和偏振相关OCT系统的研发🌒；高速宽带扫频光源的研发；内窥光纤探头的开发如基于MEMS扫描的微探头，基于微转动马达扫描的微探头等；高动态范围位相显微系统的开发；长成像距离FDOCT的研发；OCT-荧光，OCT-超声，OCT-弹性测量等多模态成像技术的开发等。
Biography:
Dr. Jun Zhang received his B.S. degree on Physics, M.S. degree on Optics from Fudan University and Ph.D. degree on Optics from Shanghai Jiaotong University, respectively. In 2002, Dr. Zhang joined the Beckman Laser Institute at the University of California, Irvine as a Postdoctoral Researcher. In 2006, he was promoted to the position of Assistant Project Scientist as the assistant to Dr. Zhongping Chen, the PI of the OCT lab in the BLI. In December2011, Dr. Zhang joined the faculty of the Beckman Laser Institute as an Assistant Research Professor. Dr. Zhang’s expertise lies in research and development of biomedical photonicsimaging, particularly the new non-invasive and minimally-invasive technologies of optical coherence tomography (OCT), fiber optic endoscopy, fiber wavelength swept laser source,phase sensitive microscopy, multimodality technologies combing OCT, fluorescence,ultrasound, elastography and translation of these techniques to address clinical problems.

张军博士👮🏽，Irvine加州大学研究助理教授。1992年与1995年分别于复旦大学物理系获得物理学学士与光学硕士学位🤱。2001年于上海交通大学物理系获得光学博士学位。2002年进入Irvine加州大学Beckman Laser Institute (BLI) 做 博士后。2006年升职为助理项目科学家，负责科研项目的管理，和协助Zhongping Chen教授管理BLI-OCT实验室。2011年12月张军博士加入Beckman Laser Institute师资队伍，任职研究助理教授。他的研究方向主要为生物医学光子学成像，包括光相干断层扫描(OCT)，光纤内窥系统，波长扫描光纤激光器，位相显微系统👥，OCT-荧光，OCT-超声🫴🏿，OCT-弹性测量多模态成像技术的研发以及将这些技术应用到临床医学研究。
